All of our products are produced in USDA inspected facilities and have been USDA inspected & approved. Our pickled products do not require refrigeration. Our products are freshness dated and we guarantee the quality & freshness. Most orders are processed the next business day and we do our best to ship to you within 24 hours of placing your order.
You may return any unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. Sorry, but we cannot issue refunds on items that have been opened. If you are unsure that you will like an item, we recommend that you order the smallest item available and try it before ordering larger quantities. We will not accept returns or offer refunds for items that are open. This includes items where you are unhappy with the flavor, texture, or color. Please read the descriptions and inspect the labels for each product before ordering. We will only pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or outdated item). Otherwise, you are responsible for the return shipping. Any items returned that have been opened (with the exception of being outdated) will not be processed for a refund. Also, please pack items carefully since we cannot issue a refund for an item that was damaged in shipment to us.
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Shipment delivery times are not guaranteed by The Pickled Store. Your items may or may not ship on the next business day and your item may not arrive in the estimated transit time of the carrier. The only instance we will issue a shipping refund is if you pay for a premium shipping option and we ship standard. In that case we will refund the difference in price paid for the premium service versus the method in which the order was shipped.
Please also note that the shipping rates for the items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping company we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
Once your items arrive, please closely inspect them for damage. It is normal for items to leak occasionally. The containers are not vacuum sealed simply because the items are constantly pickling in the pickling solution. Gases need to escape and as a result the lids may appear to be bulged out (as gases escape the items) and evidence of leaking (normally white streaks on the container) may be seen. When the lid is opened, you may hear gas escape from the container - this is a normal buildup of gases as the items pickle. All items are USDA inspected when they leave the plant. If containers have been damaged and/or broken during shipping, please contact our customer service department for resolution.
About Our Shipping Prices
We know what you are thinking (we shop on the Internet too!). You're thinking, "Yes, the prices are low but I bet the shipping prices are sky high!" Not true. The Pickled Store gets discounted shipping from our carrier and we pass those discounts on to you. You are not paying retail shipping costs, you're getting the high volume discount!
Look at it this way. It's a whole lot cheaper to ship than it is to drive here to pick it up yourself!
