My eight year old granddaughter wanted pickled sausage for her birthday.I know-sounds weird. I was going to order Pennrose but found out they are no longer made. Reviews suggested I try Matt & Danna. She was screaming so loud on the phone when she opened the box that one would have thought she got a pony. She loves them.The only problem is slowing her eating down.

This sausage is well worth the shipping it cost to get them to Illinois.
I have been a penrose sausage fan since the early 70s. These are a very good substitute IMHO they are far better than the penrose ConAgra made prior to being discontinued in 2009.
I like them but the Matt & Dana Hot Pickled Sausage gets my vote for the replacement for the old original penrose "my foot was glad". If ConAgra were to start making the penrose again...I will keep on buying Matt & Dana's product, much better product than ConA was making in the end years.

I got the sausage in yesterday..They are great and will order again in the near future. My only complaint, is the shipping cost more than the product. I order alot of liquid products for our horses, and pay less on shipping thru ups. Plus they deliver on saturdays and fed ex doesn't. But thank you for a great product.
